By the end of May 2009 the CDC finally claimed they had a test for swine flu, which was described both on the CDC website, as well as by calling them on the phone. The criterion for a positive diagnosis for swine flu was simple: a positive test for Influenza A. Any type of Influenza A, out of hundreds and hundreds of strains. This remains the current screening test: the patient isn’t required to be positive for any of the 700 strains of H1N1.

Because most people who die of the flu don't die from the flu directly. Usually what happens is old people ands people with compromised immune systems are left weak by a bout of the flu, and an opportunistic, secondary bacterial infection causes pneumonia and kills them. Pneumovax protects you from the most common bacteria that cause pneumonia.

The Pneumovax is a vaccine that is given to protect against infection with the bacteria Streptococcus Pneumoniae. It is recommended for adults and children 2 to 64 years of age who are at increased risk for pneumococcal disease because of other illness (i.e., heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, alcoholism, and liver disease).

Honestly, I don't trust it :) Have you heard about the swine flu scam? http://www.thedoctorwithin.com/swine/goodbye-swine-flu-faux-pandemic-of-2009/

You can use SpywareNoMore.
As we all know Computer hackers seeking financial gain rather than thrills or notoriety are increasingly flooding the Internet with malicious software code (spyware, adware, key loggers, trojans). They are infecting computers with highly sophisticated programs that record surfing habits, bank passwords and other key financial data and send them to crooks over the Internet. These programs can be hard to spot, disguised in downloads such as toolbars, search engines, browser accessories, screen savers and other seemingly helpful utilities.

SpyNoMore anti-spyware safeguards your identity and restores system performance through fast, smart and powerful spyware protection.

Not painful. The doctor will examine you. You may not get a test. In most cases the doctors are diagnosing based on symptoms. If you do get a test it will most likely be a nasal swab. The swab will only tell the doctor that you have the flu. To be sure it is swine flu they have to send the swab of to the CDC. Most doctors are not doing that any more.

No, a blood culture and throat culture are not tests used to diagnose swine flu, although they may be taken if the symptoms are not representative of the flu.

A nasal swab sample is typically used to detect evidence of flu or other respiratory viruses. It is not painful.

Blood test or throat culture.

You say, "So I guess im going to get tested for the swine."

Why? Not all doctors are going to be concerned if you specifically have the H1N1 strain of the flu (so-called "swine flu"). In fact, you likely need to pay more to have that test done. There's no benefit in knowing what strain you have been infected with because H1N1 has not shown itself to be any more contagious, deadly, or even different on a symptomatic level compared to any other type A influenza infection. Even treatment for the "swine flu" is exactly the same as per seasonal flu.
